FAQ

Social Calendar questions

Does Nautis actually publish my posts to social networks?

The Social Calendar is for planning and approving content. It tracks what's going where and when, but you still publish from your own social tool or by hand (for now). The Accounts tab is metadata about your channels — it's not a connected publishing integration.

What's the difference between a plan and a campaign?

A plan is the long-running container — for example, 'All marketing 2026'. A campaign is a wave inside a plan with a defined goal and date range — for example, 'March Webinar Promotion'.

Who can approve posts?

Anyone with the Manager role on the plan. The plan creator is automatically a Manager.

Can the same post go to multiple channels?

Yes. Tick all the channels you want under Channels when drafting the post. You can keep the same copy for all of them (the Default) or customize per channel using the per-channel copy tabs.

Can I override the caption for just Instagram?

Yes. In the post editor, switch from the Default copy tab to the Instagram tab and type a custom caption. The other channels keep using the default.

What happens when I 'Request changes'?

The post status flips to Changes Requested and the assigned editor is notified. They fix the post and click Submit for review again, sending it back to you.

Can I see who edited what?

Yes. The Activity tab shows a complete timestamped log for every change. Each post also has its own version history.

Can I have multiple people draft the same post?

Yes — add them all as Assignees on the post. Any of them with Editor or Manager role can edit.

Can I undo deleting a plan?

No. Deleting a plan is permanent and removes every campaign, post, comment, and attachment inside it. Archive instead if you want to keep the history.
