FAQ
Fundraising CRM questions
What's the difference between a round and a deal?
A round is the fundraise itself (for example, your Series A). A deal is one investor inside that round. One round usually has many deals.
Can I move a deal between rounds?
Edit the deal and change its round, or use the deal detail panel actions. The activity log keeps a record of the move.
Does Nautis send emails to investors automatically?
No. Nautis logs your outreach and can draft messages, but you send everything through your normal email tool. The activity tab records what happened.
What happens when a deal is marked won?
The check size counts towards the round's Raised total and the target-progress bar. Closed-won deals stay in their final stage and can still be opened for reference.
Who can see a private round?
The creator, anyone listed under Shared Access for that round, and organization admins.
Can I close a round?
Yes. Click the Lock icon on a round card to close it. New deals can't be added until you reopen it.
Is this the same as Leads & Sales CRM?
No — Fundraising CRM is for investors. Leads & Sales CRM is for customers and partners. They live in separate modules so contexts don't mix.
Can I customize the stages?
Yes. The default stages (Lead → Contacted → Meeting → Term Sheet → Committed → Passed) are fully editable per round.
What does the Oversubscribed badge mean?
When committed capital exceeds the round target, your card gets an Oversubscribed badge — useful when you need to politely turn down late interest.
