Employee Management questions
Can I import employees in bulk?
Not yet. Add them one at a time using Add employee. Their basic profile takes about a minute each.
Can a member of my team see everyone's salary?
Only users with HR Management read permission can open the Payroll and Payouts tabs and view compensation. Adjust roles under Account Settings → Members & Roles.
An employee left. Should I delete them?
Set their Exit date instead so payroll and reports stay accurate. Deleting removes the record entirely, but exited employees still count toward your employee limit.
Why is the 'Save & open profile' button disabled?
You're missing one or more required fields. Look at the Completion strip at the bottom of the panel — it lists exactly what's still empty.
Can I record one-off bonuses?
Yes — when creating a payout, add an adjustment for that employee instead of changing their permanent compensation.
Do I need to enter bank details for contractors?
The system asks for them so payouts have complete records, but you can still save the employee and add bank info later by editing.
Is there a headcount cap?
Yes — your Nautis plan caps how many active employees you can keep on the books. Upgrade unlocks more.
Can read-only members see compensation?
No — compensation is gated to roles with HR Management permission.
