PrometAI opens its pricing page with a direct promise about a business plan your bank, lender or visa office will accept. Everything else follows from that focus: plan tiers named Application-Ready and Investor-Grade, sample plans to inspect before you pay, and a line of samples for loan and investor reviews. Nautis has a Business Plans module too, but it doesn't address those outside reviewers at all.
Founders get to these two pages from very different places. One group has a form to submit and a date to meet, and the other wants to organise a company that already exists. We read PrometAI's pricing page and homepage in October 2026, and the details below come from there.
Which gate are you trying to clear?
Name it before you compare any features. PrometAI lists four uses: investor and pitch decks, bank and SBA loan applications, visa applications such as E-2 and EB-5, and university coursework. It has dedicated pages on SBA loan plans and investor-ready plans. It structures plans with the sections and financial statements those reviewers expect and exports them in formats you can submit.
A word on expectations. Acceptance is always the reviewer's decision. PrometAI's FAQ says plans are structured for those reviewers, and backed by a money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied. For a visa, involve an immigration lawyer, whichever software writes the draft.
If your gate is a venture investor, consider whether you need a long written plan at all. Many seed conversations run on a deck and a model, the materials our seed funding guide lists. PrometAI's top tier produces a plan with a valuation, which helps some raises and is overkill for others.
PrometAI's three tiers
| Explore | Application-Ready | Investor-Grade | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $55 | $145 |
| Business plans | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| AI requests a month | 25 | 200 | 500 |
| AI images | 2 | 20 | 50 high-quality |
| PDF export | No | Yes | Yes |
| PowerPoint export and shareable links | No | No | Yes |
| Financial dashboards and currency choice | USD only | Yes | Yes |
| DCF valuation, stress test, scenarios | No | No | Yes |
| NDA and term sheet templates | No | No | Yes |
| Translations | None | 5 | 10 |
Two tips from reading the page. The names change, since parts of it call these tiers Free, Basic and Pro, so don't let that confuse you at checkout. And on Explore you can build and view your full plan online but can't get it out, so anyone with a submission needs a paid tier. There's also a Time Saver service, where a finance expert prepares your plan in one to two business days, with a 10-hour session, priced on request, as well as special pricing for students, incubators and nonprofits.

For the plan as a document, PrometAI offers more. The bottom row explains why a founder might still pick Nautis, and also why it's a poor purchase if the plan is all you want.
Real cost over a real timeline
PrometAI is priced to be held briefly. If you need a plan for one loan application, one month on Application-Ready costs $55, and its FAQ says you can cancel at any time, with renewals stopping at the end of the paid period. At that point you hold the exported plan, and your cost is finished.
Nautis is priced to be kept. Launch at $49 a month or $490 a year only pays off if the workspace is in use every week, and it comes with a 14-day trial rather than a $0 tier. A one-month Nautis subscription just to write a plan would make little sense, even though the price looks similar to PrometAI's cheapest paid tier. Plans in Nautis also draw on your AI credits, and each plan level sets a monthly limit on how many plans you can create. For a fuller view of what you already spend, try the tool tax calculator.
Three founders, three purchases
- An E-2 applicant with a filing date in five weeks. PrometAI, or another plan specialist, with a lawyer checking the result. Nautis has no visa-specific format, and this person may have no team or company data to put into a workspace yet.
- A founder preparing a $500,000 SBA loan. Start with PrometAI's lender sample and judge it against what your bank has told you. Buy a month and export the PDF. Your lender may have its own template, so ask first.
- A seed-stage founder with six people. Nautis is the better home. The plan can import from your GTM workspace and financial project, and after that the same workspace tracks the pipeline, the runway and the tasks that follow from the plan. Read the business OS guide for startups if you are weighing up a change of this size.
Where PrometAI is the stronger pick
- Clear focus on submission. Its tiers, samples and exports all assume a reader who will judge the document.
- Valuation inside the plan. A DCF valuation, stress tests and term sheet templates sit in one place on Investor-Grade. You can sanity-check any valuation with our DCF calculator.
- Quick exit. There's no reason to keep paying after you submit, and the $0 tier lets you try the drafting first.
- Translations. Useful when a plan must reach reviewers in another language.
We've left out its counts of plans created and its average rating, since they don't help you choose between these two products. Nautis, for its part, publishes no customer figures, and since it launched publicly in July 2026 you won't find many independent opinions about it.
What Nautis offers that a generator doesn't
Nautis assumes the company carries on after the plan is done. Approved plans lock so nothing changes before a board meeting, each section has comments and version history for the team, and the numbers can come from a projection that the team keeps using. Investor Readiness then counts the plan as one signal among many, next to data room, deck and pipeline.
It won't write you a visa-ready document, and its planning depth is modest because it is one module in many. The Chief of Staff is also only as useful as the data you've entered, which means a founder with no customers, no team and no records won't see much benefit yet.
Bottom line for your situation
- Use PrometAI when a person outside your company must approve a document by a date.
- Use Nautis when you need a system for a pre-seed or seed company, with planning as one part of it.
- Use them in sequence if you qualify for a loan or a visa first and start operating later. Export the plan and set it aside, then use it as the source for your first Nautis plan.
FAQ
Which is better for a visa or loan business plan in Nautis vs PrometAI?
PrometAI. It is built around plans for banks, lenders, visa offices and investors, with tiers and exports designed for submission. Nautis's Business Plans module has no visa or lender focus, so use it for internal and board-level plans.
How much does PrometAI cost?
As of October 2026, Explore is $0, Application-Ready is $55 a month and Investor-Grade is $145 a month, billed monthly. Quarterly billing saves about 18% and annual about 55%. Export needs a paid tier, and paid plans carry a money-back guarantee.
Can I export a business plan from PrometAI's $0 tier?
No. On Explore you can create and view a full plan online, but PDF export starts at Application-Ready, and PowerPoint export and shareable links start at Investor-Grade.
Does Nautis calculate a company valuation?
The Business Plans and Financial Planner guides don't describe a DCF valuation. Nautis shows valuation inputs on a round and models dilution in its cap table on Voyage and Fleet. PrometAI includes a DCF on its Investor-Grade tier.
