Video Pitches questions
Can I upload an existing video file instead of recording in the browser?+
Yes. For any topic, use the upload option to attach an MP4. Nautis splices it in just like a recorded clip.
Why does my video need to be compiled?+
Each topic is recorded as a separate clip with its own settings. Compiling joins them, applies graphics and a CTA, and produces one playable file.
What happens if I close the browser while compiling?+
Compilation runs server-side. You can leave and come back — when the status flips to Completed, the final video is ready.
Can I add multiple CTAs?+
Only one CTA per video. It appears at the end. Use graphics for mid-video links or callouts.
Where do the analytics come from?+
Every play of the direct link or embed counts as a view. The CTA Click count tracks people who clicked the CTA button. Feedback comes from invited reviewers leaving comments.
Can I make the video private?+
The direct link is unlisted but anyone with it can play the video. Don't share the link if you want to keep it inside your organization.
Do viewers need a Nautis account?+
No — anyone with the share link can watch in their browser.
Can I update an overlay after recording?+
Yes. Edit overlays anytime and the share link reflects the new version.
