This page compares Nautis with FndrOS, the AI-native startup operating system at fndros.com.au, which press coverage credits to founder Geoff Gourley and whose site names ESG&I as its author. FndrOS is spelled without the vowels. It isn't one of the products called FounderOS. Use the .com.au address, because fndros.com didn't load when we checked.
These two are closer on paper than most products in this category. Both put planning, finance, fundraising and team records in one workspace, and both make a person accept AI work before it counts. They differ in what drives the day. FndrOS details below come from its own pages, read in October 2026, plus a press release dated 28 August 2026 and Startup Daily's report of 9 September 2026.
The shape of each product
FndrOS is organised around the stage your venture has reached. You enter your startup once, or paste a URL or upload a deck, and it generates a lean canvas, validation plan, roadmap, financial model and go-to-market structure. An Adaptive dashboard then ranks Next Best Actions from your stage and workspace signals. A Classic view is there for people who prefer working through checklists. An Ideation Journey of 6 to 12 weeks walks a first-time founder from problem to validation sprint, and ends with a summary report and a progression recommendation.
Nautis is organised around what needs attention today. At 7:00 am the Chief of Staff scans tasks, pipeline, runway, meetings, approvals and overdue invoices, then groups the results as Priorities, Blockers, Approvals, Pipeline, Today and Runway. You press Do it, ask Commodore, snooze the item or dismiss it. Setup through Liftoff connects a Google or Microsoft calendar and email account.
So FndrOS asks what a startup at your stage should be doing next and helps you build the evidence. Nautis asks what changed in the company since yesterday and helps you act on it. A founder with an idea and no customers gets more from the first. A founder with a team, a pipeline and a bank balance to watch gets more from the second.

How does FndrOS pricing compare with Nautis?
FndrOS starts lower and climbs through stages, while Nautis has three flat plans sized by team. FndrOS prices are in Australian dollars and exclude 10% GST, which is added at checkout for Australian customers. Nautis prices are in US dollars. We haven't converted anything, because the rate moves and regional pricing may apply on either side.
| Plan | Monthly | Paid seats | Notable limits or additions |
|---|---|---|---|
| FndrOS Ideation | A$19 | 2, extra seats A$12 a month | 1 lean canvas, 1 financial scenario |
| FndrOS Pre-Seed | A$59 | 5, extra seats A$12 a month | 3 scenarios, 10 investors in CRM, compliance calendar, grants |
| FndrOS Seed | A$129 | 10, extra seats A$15 a month | Fundraising module: cap table, term sheets, data room |
| FndrOS Growth | A$249 | Unlimited | People ops, board packs, payroll-ready exports, monthly Investor Pack |
| FndrOS Researcher | A$499 | Unlimited | Everything in Growth plus the Researcher module |
| Nautis Launch | $49 | 5 members | 1,000 AI credits, 5 routines. Leads pipelines and investor deals limited |
| Nautis Voyage | $99 | 10 members | 2,000 AI credits, cap table, evening debrief |
| Nautis Fleet | $129 | 25 members | 2,600 AI credits, 15 routines |
Two things stand out. A pre-revenue founder with one co-founder pays far less on FndrOS Ideation, and Nautis has no equivalent tier and no free tier. Past 25 people, FndrOS Growth keeps going with unlimited team members, while Nautis startup plans stop. Check the Nautis pricing page for your region.
FndrOS advisors and mentors are unlimited on all plans at no seat cost. The site also mentions a launch offer of 20% off the first month, so check whether it still applies when you sign up.
Who approves the AI's work?
Both products keep a person in charge, but the check sits in different places.
FndrOS treats AI output as a suggestion to its record. Its product page says every output is opt-in and tagged with the model and confidence used, and nothing enters the workspace record until the founder accepts, edits or rejects it. Its press release adds that founder and research data isn't used to train AI models.
Nautis treats agent activity as an action to approve. Each card in the Approval Center shows which agent asked, the action, and exactly what would be sent or changed. Under Agent Autonomy, owners and admins can leave a capability on Ask every time, which is the default, or set it to Run without asking, with every action logged. Deleting always asks. Our guide to human-in-the-loop agents explains why this matters.
In practice, FndrOS's model suits a founder who wants AI to draft documents they own. The Nautis model suits someone who wants AI to send the email or update the deal once they've looked at it, which also means someone has to keep clearing those cards.
A university spinout, and a nine-person seed company
The spinout
Picture a research team at an Australian university turning a lab result into a company. It needs to record Technology Readiness and Commercialisation Readiness levels, link them to evidence, keep references to the university's technology transfer office, and produce a report for reviewers. FndrOS built a tier for exactly this. Nautis has nothing comparable in its guides, so this team should start with FndrOS.
The seed company
Now take a nine-person seed company in any country, four months from its next raise, with sales and investor conversations spread across inboxes. Nautis gives it a morning list that combines runway, stuck deals and overdue invoices, a directory to find more investors, and a readiness score on the deck and data room. FndrOS would also hold the round tracker and investor CRM, with the Seed plan covering ten seats. We didn't see a connected inbox or a directory of investors to approach on the pages we read. Our pick for this company is Nautis, unless Australian compliance and grants are the bigger headache.
Where FndrOS is the stronger choice
- Australian context. The site describes it as the operating system for Australian startups and it prices in AUD with GST handling. Nautis isn't built around any one country's obligations.
- Compliance and grants. A compliance calendar, permits register, grants tracker and IP register sit in the product. Nautis has an Intellectual Property section on the startup profile, and we found the others in neither its guides nor its app.
- First-time founders who want a path. The Ideation Journey gives weekly checkpoints over 6 to 12 weeks. The Nautis Startup Journey lists stages, milestones and tasks, which is more a checklist than a weekly program.
- Programs. Accelerators and universities get cohort progress views, configurable gateways, reviewer roles and approved summaries. Nautis has a page for incubators, and you should compare the detail if you run a cohort.
- Investor Pack. On Growth, a monthly update is drafted from workspace data and shared through private read-only links.
- Low entry price. A$19 a month for an idea-stage founder sits well under the $49 Nautis Launch plan.
Where Nautis is the stronger choice, and its limits
Nautis covers more of the daily work once a company is operating. Email, meetings, team chat, employee pay runs, leads and an investor directory all feed one briefing, and agents can act in connected apps after you approve. If your work happens in Slack, Linear and Gmail, the integration catalog matters. FndrOS says it doesn't replace specialist tools and hands off to them later, so you can expect it to do less inside those tools.
The limits are real. Nautis publicly launched on Product Hunt only in July 2026, so independent reviews are scarce. FndrOS is new too, with press from August and September 2026. Nautis has no free tier. AI credits are capped. It covers many functions, so a dedicated tool will often go deeper in any one of them. It isn't an accounting system and doesn't file statutory payroll. A briefing also has little to say until the workspace holds real data, so a founder with only an idea gets less from it in the first weeks.
Nautis vs FndrOS: which to try first
- Try FndrOS first if you're Australian, pre-seed or earlier, need help with permits, grants or IP, or you sit inside an accelerator or university.
- Try Nautis first if you already have customers or investors to chase and want a startup operating system that starts your morning with what's at risk.
- Run the same test on both trials. Upload your latest deck. See what each one fills in, what it gets wrong, and how many steps it takes to reach a task you'd actually do this week.
FAQ
Is FndrOS the same as FounderOS?
No. FndrOS is the Australian startup operating system at fndros.com.au. Several unrelated products use the name FounderOS, each with its own site, and the fndros.com address didn't load when we checked in October 2026.
How much does FndrOS cost?
As of October 2026, FndrOS lists Ideation at A$19, Pre-Seed at A$59, Seed at A$129, Growth at A$249 and Researcher at A$499 a month, excluding GST. Annual billing includes two months free. Founder plans have a 14-day trial with no card.
Which is better in Nautis vs FndrOS for fundraising?
It depends on the gap you have. Nautis includes a directory for finding investors, a deck analyzer and a voice coach. FndrOS includes a term sheet builder, a seven-method valuation tool and a 10-stage round tracker on its Seed plan. If you don't yet know who to pitch, start with Nautis.
Does FndrOS replace Xero or a CRM?
Its product page says it builds foundations rather than replacing specialist tools, and it offers exports and handoff packs for finance, HR, payroll, CRM and legal. Nautis is also not an accounting system, so most companies will still need an accountant's tool with either product.
Can FndrOS or Nautis act on my behalf?
FndrOS describes AI that drafts, analyses and recommends, with founders making the decisions and nothing entering the record until accepted. Nautis agents can act in connected apps, and each capability asks every time by default unless an owner or admin changes it.
