What it does
The dashboard is your home screen — a grid of widgets that pull live data from every module you use. Each widget summarizes one area of your business (KPIs, milestones, invoices, leads, wellness, and more) and links into the matching module for the full view. You can choose which widgets to show, drag them into the order you want, and resize each one.
Who can use it
Everyone with access to the dashboard. The widgets you can turn on depend on which modules are enabled for your organization and which ones your role can read.
Where to find it
The dashboard is the first screen you see when you sign in. From anywhere else in Nautis, click the Home or Dashboard entry in the sidebar.
Viewing your widgets
- The dashboard greets you with Good morning / afternoon / evening, [Your Name].
- The KPI Cards row sits at the top — pinned headline stats that you can scan in seconds.
- Below that, the widget grid renders every widget you have turned on. Each widget has its own title, last-refresh time, and a link into the related module.
- Click anywhere on a widget body to open the full module page behind it.
Refreshing widget data
- Click the circular refresh icon in the top-right of the dashboard header.
- Every widget reloads at once. The tooltip on the button reads Refresh all widgets data.
- Individual widgets also re-fetch on a regular interval, so you do not have to do this often.
Adding or removing widgets
- Click the settings cog icon in the top-right of the dashboard header. The tooltip reads Customize your dashboard layout and widgets.
- The Customize Dashboard dialog opens. The subtitle shows how many widgets are currently active.
- Widgets are grouped by category — Overview, Finance, Strategy & Planning, Fundraising, Marketing & Sales, Team & HR, and Tools & Productivity.
- Flip the switch next to any widget to show or hide it on the dashboard.
- Inside the KPI Cards group you can also turn individual KPI cards on or off — that controls which tiles appear in the pinned top row.
- Changes save automatically and apply immediately. Close the dialog when you are done.
- Click the Reset option in the dialog footer to put every widget back to its default visibility.
Rearranging widgets
- Hover over a widget. The drag handle becomes active on the widget header.
- Click and hold the header, then drag the widget to a new spot in the grid. The other widgets shuffle to make room.
- Release the mouse to drop it. The new layout saves automatically and persists across sessions.
- The KPI Cards row at the top can also be reordered — drag any KPI tile left or right to change the order.
Resizing a widget
- Hover over the right edge of any widget. A resize handle appears.
- Click and drag the handle to make the widget span more or fewer columns in the grid.
- Some widgets are pinned at a default size that fits their content best — resizing those will snap to the nearest valid width.
Available widget types
The full catalogue spans every major area:
- Overview — KPI Cards
- Finance — Invoice Health, Budget & Expenses
- Strategy & Planning — Milestones, Business Plan, GTM Strategies, Decision Loop, Founder Score, Startup Health
- Fundraising — Cap Table, Equity Calculator, Data Rooms, Doc Sign, Video Pitch
- Marketing & Sales — Pipelines, Leads Summary, Contacts, Scheduling
- Team & HR — Jobs & Applicants, Burnout Radar, Founder Wellness
- Tools & Productivity — Notes, Bookmarks, Brand Kit, SWOT Analysis, Financial Planner, Custom Forms, URL Shortener, Team Members
Each category only appears in the picker if you have access to at least one widget inside it.
Tips & limits
- Hiding a widget never deletes data — it only stops the dashboard from rendering that summary. Turn it back on at any time.
- A widget that depends on a disabled module or a feature you do not have permission for will not appear in the picker.
- If you accidentally hide everything, click the cog and use Reset to restore the default set.
Frequently asked questions
My dashboard is empty — what happened?
Either every widget is hidden, or the modules behind your widgets are not enabled for your organization. Open the customize dialog and check what is toggled on; if the list itself is empty, ask an admin to enable the matching modules.
Why can I not see the same widgets as my teammate?
Widgets are filtered by your role's permissions and by the feature flags on your organization. Anyone without read access to a module will not see its widget in the picker.
Does refreshing one widget hit all the others?
Clicking the dashboard-level refresh button reloads every widget at once. There is no per-widget refresh button in the header — each widget revalidates itself on its own cadence.
Can I have a different layout per organization?
Yes. Your layout is saved per user per organization, so switching organizations gives you the layout you set up there.
Is the dashboard layout shared with my team?
No. Each user customizes their own dashboard. Changes you make do not affect anyone else.
